Mainstay Games (Finland) is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with this careers site. For privacy questions, contact info at mainstaygames dot com.

What we collect

When you apply for a role we collect the personal data you provide in the application form: your name, contact details, CV, the answers you write, any links to professional profiles, and your consent choices. We also log limited technical metadata for security and abuse prevention (a hash of your IP address, your user agent, and timestamps).

This site does not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers. Cookies are limited to those strictly needed to run the application flow (CSRF protection and the admin session cookie).

Why we process it

We process the personal data you submit for the purpose of evaluating your application. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in recruitment and, where applicable, steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract. CV scanning for malware happens locally on our servers and is strictly to protect our systems.

How long we keep it

By default we retain your application for six months. If you opt in to the longer retention at submission time, we keep it for up to twenty-four months so we can consider you for future openings. After the retention period your application and CV are deleted automatically.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Finnish data protection law, you have the right to access your personal data, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. The confirmation email we send you when you apply includes self-serve links to download a copy of your application or delete it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuojavaltuutettu.fi).
