QA (all levels)
We're hiring across our QA function to support partner teams working on live and in-development titles across mobile, console, and PC. Some of these games are played by millions of people every day; others are still finding their shape. QA at Mainstay is embedded work — you join a partner's team and become part of how they ship.
We're open to candidates at any level. If you're early in your career and want to learn QA properly inside teams that take it seriously, we want to hear from you. If you're a senior or lead who's set up test strategy on a live game, owned automation, or built a QA function from scratch, we want to hear from you too.
What you'd be doing
The specifics depend on the partner and the project, but the work typically includes some mix of:- Testing builds across platforms and flagging issues clearly enough that they can actually be fixed
- Designing test plans for new features, live updates, and platform releases
- Working closely with engineering, design, and production — not as a gate at the end, but as part of the team throughout
- Reproducing and triaging player-reported issues on live titles
- Building or maintaining test automation, depending on the project and your experience
- Owning quality for a feature, system, or release on more senior engagements
What we're looking for
- A real interest in games and in the craft of testing them — not just clicking through checklists
- Clear written communication, especially in bug reports and test documentation
- Comfort working inside someone else's team, codebase, and process
- For senior roles: a track record of shipping on live or large-scale titles, and the judgment to know what to test, when, and how deeply
You don't need to tick every box. If the work sounds like yours, apply and tell us where you fit.
